Information Session (Malawi Wanga)| KWATHU UPGRADE

The Kwathu Kollective, a part of the Ntha Foundation, was selected to be one of the supporting hubs for the Muzi Ecosystem initiative, as part of the “More Income and Employment in Rural Areas- MIERA II” project by GIZ in Malawi. This significant step is aligned with our commitment to driving positive change and fostering innovation.

Our project has a special focus on supporting women-led and youth-led Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and individuals from marginalized communities engaged in various tourism-related trades. We believe that these are the unsung heroes of the local tourism sector, and their success is pivotal for the overall growth of the industry. To achieve this we will employ our “Kwathu Upgrade: Tourism Edition,” to revamp and strengthen the tourism sector in Salima and Zomba.

We are recruiting 30 participants in Salima and 30 participants in Zomba for training. These trainings will run almost concurrently starting in April 2024. We invite all interested individuals in Salima and Zomba as well as the general public to attend the Kwathu Upgrade Tourism Edition Information Session on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1100 hrs CAT. The event will be held online, via Zoom.

This session will serve as a valuable opportunity for potential applicants and the general public to learn more about the project, its eligibility criteria, application process, and frequently asked questions. By attending the session, participants will gain comprehensive insights and have their queries addressed directly by project representatives.
