This event marked the beginning of a series of quarterly gatherings aimed at fostering connections among creatives and innovators in Malawi. Sponsored by the COSOMA Copyright Fund in collaboration with NICO, the inaugural event was a resounding success, bringing together a vibrant community of artists, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.

Setting the Stage

The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from our host, Ngugi International, who set the tone for an engaging and inspiring night. Victor C Gondwe, our Chief Operations Officer, followed with opening remarks, introducing the Bants2Business: Creative Garage. This exclusive segment is designed to spotlight young creatives with potential, offering them a platform to network and grow.

A Musical Interlude

Adding a melodic touch to the evening, alumni from Music4Malawi, Chiko Charlie and Yujin and delivered a captivating performance. Their music not only entertained but also underscored the theme of the night: “The Importance of Collaboration for Creativity & Innovation.”.

Panel Discussion: Insights and Inspiration

The highlight of the event was the panel discussion, moderated by Abigail Zingani and featuring the notable creatives Otiyela Mtema from Zaluso Arts, and Zikani Gavi from Mzuzu Fashion Week. The panelists shared their experiences and insights on how collaboration fuels creativity and drives innovation. The audience was deeply engaged, posing thoughtful questions during the Q&A session that followed.
