About Siphat
Siphat Kambona is a final-year Computer Systems and Security student at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) with a strong interest in cybersecurity, digital innovation, and emerging technologies. Passionate about using technology to address real-world challenges, she is particularly interested in how secure digital systems can support sustainable development and create opportunities for communities across Malawi and beyond.
Throughout her academic journey, Siphat has developed a foundation in computer systems, cybersecurity principles, digital security, and technology-driven problem-solving. Her studies have strengthened her analytical thinking, technical skills, and ability to approach challenges with both creativity and precision.
Her Journey at Kwathu
Siphat is currently undertaking her internship with the Kwathu Kollective through the M’mawa Apprenticeship Programme (MAP), a full-time experiential learning initiative that combines structured training with practical workplace experience. Through the programme, she contributes to projects spanning technology, innovation, research, digital transformation, and community development while gaining exposure to professional work environments and collaborative project implementation.
Known for her enthusiasm, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning, Siphat approaches every opportunity as a chance to grow both personally and professionally. She values teamwork, integrity, and excellence, and believes that meaningful innovation begins with understanding the needs of the people it is intended to serve.
As she continues her professional journey, Siphat aspires to build a career at the intersection of cybersecurity and innovation, developing secure and impactful technology solutions that empower individuals, strengthen organizations, and contribute to Africa’s digital future.
