We were honored to welcome Her Excellency Rebeccah Adda-Dontoh, the UN Resident Coordinator (UNRC) to the Kwathu Kowork Spaces in Lilongwe, for an insightful discussion centered on youth leadership and the imperative of leaving no one behind in our endeavors at the Ntha Foundation. The visit, which took place on the 28th of May, 2024, served as a pivotal moment for our community, highlighting the importance of collaboration and inclusivity in driving positive change.
During the engaging conversation, Her Excellency Adda-Dontoh emphasized the critical role that young leaders play in shaping the future of our communities and the world at large. She underscored the need for platforms like Kwathu Kollective to empower youth voices, providing them with the tools and resources they need to thrive as leaders and changemakers.
The discussion centered on the principle of leaving no one behind, a core value of the Ntha Foundation’s work. Her Excellency Adda-Dontoh reiterated the UN’s commitment to advancing inclusivity and ensuring that marginalized groups, including women, persons with disabilities, and rural communities, are actively involved in decision-making processes and benefit from development initiatives.
As we reflect on the visit from the UNRC, we are reminded of the importance of our mission at Kwathu Kollective and the Ntha Foundation. We are committed to fostering a culture of youth leadership, innovation, and inclusivity, where every voice is heard, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Together, we will continue to work towards building a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
